Whangaroa Expedition
This area can be explored as part of a Cavalli Islands Expedition or as a separate trip leaving from Whangaroa Harbour. This could involve camping, staying in the DOC hut at Lane Cove or at a lodge / Backpackers.
Whangaroa Harbour has unique landforms with steep rock formations and its sheltered water's ideal for all levels of paddling. Outside the entrance there are numerous caves to explore and a rugged coastline to the north and south.
