Groups
Primary Age Students
For Primary age students the emphasis is on a fun filled games approach while teaching some of the basic skills at the same time. We aim to develop confidence and an awareness of safety on the water. Intermediate students enjoy a challenge and can undertake small trips in sheltered waters. This can be as part of a school camp, class outing or an elective.
All programmes aim to cater for the age and needs of the students. Younger children will paddle sit on kayaks and often team up with adults in double sea kayaks to provide a safe experience. Our philosophy is based on "challenge by choice"
Secondary students
We will work with schools in a variety of ways to meet your needs in kayaking. This can be as part of a school camp or electives or skills instruction and assessment for Unit Standards or Acievement Standards. We also offer skills and inservice training for teachers at primary and Secondary level and induction for teachers involved with Seakayaking Unit standards. We also offer team building experiences for teaching staff.
